Meta City III explores the contemporary city as a constantly evolving spatial organism. Layers of architectural fragments, horizontal fields and intersecting lines create an imagined urban territory suspended between structure and transformation. Dense linear networks accumulate across the lower part of the composition, evoking infrastructure, movement and the complexity of metropolitan systems. Above them, broader fields of muted grey, blue and earth tones introduce openness and distance, allowing the city to shift between physical landscape and abstract master plan. Rather than representing a specific place, the work reflects on the invisible structures that shape urban life — routes, boundaries, connections and traces of continuous change. Order and instability coexist: structures emerge, overlap and dissolve, suggesting a city that is never complete but perpetually being rewritten. With Meta City III, Vahagn Bagoyan continues his exploration of the relationship between architectural thinking and abstract painting, transforming the visual language of urban planning into a poetic, multilayered image of the contemporary city.
